WMATA - Rhythm
Service:
Commercial
For Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, we brought the system to life through the “Rhythm” commercial, a visually driven spot built around movement, timing, and the pulse of the city.
Created in the wake of COVID-19, the goal was clear: rebuild rider confidence by showcasing the heightened standards of cleanliness, safety, and care across the Metro system. Rather than delivering that message in a clinical or transactional way, we approached it through storytelling, making safety feel visible, present, and seamlessly integrated into the rider experience.
As Director and Director of Photography, the focus was to turn everyday transit moments into something cinematic. We leaned into rhythm, repetition, and precision, capturing sanitized surfaces, open space, and thoughtful interactions through controlled lighting, composed framing, and intentional camera movement.
Visually, the film elevates the WMATA brand beyond utility, positioning it as modern, reliable, and deeply attuned to the people it serves.
The result is a commercial that doesn’t just communicate safety, it builds trust. A piece that transforms public transit into a confident, considered experience, and reconnects the system to the rhythm of the city.
